On August 31st 2025, Lifongo Village in Tiko sub-division successfully hosted the 2nd Edition of Lifongo Community, Peace and Unity Football Tournament and 3rd Back-to-School Initiative, bringing together community members, local leaders and partners.

The event was graced by the presence of the new Divisional Officer for Tiko Sub-Division, Mr Nokuri Samuel who was welcomed by the Chief of Lifongo, HRM Billy Bob Ndive alongside other traditional rulers.

The tournament featured teams from Lifongo Village and neighboring communities, promoting sportsmanship and unity among the youths. Bayern Munich of Moquo were crowned Champion after a narrow 1#0 victory over Marte FC at Government School Lifongo Field.

The Back-to-School Initiative sponsored by AWACIC FOUNDATION provided essential school supplies to students, supporting education and encouraging academic excellence.
Mary Ndinge Lyonga is a marketing assistant at Eagle Wings and Spice Located at Mutengene, Tiko Road.
She was once a Volunteer at the Tiko Council Community Radio for a period of 3 months under the Leadership of Mme Sarah Nkongho as the Station Manager. She is a graduate from the department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Faculty of Social and Management Science, University of Buea.
