A non-profit organization known as Afro Access Foundation made up of sons and daughters of Down Beach based in the diaspora on Sunday, September 7th, 2025 donated back to school materials to pupils and students within the Down Beach neighborhood in Tiko.

The ceremony saw over 50 pupils and students received back to school didactic materials for the 2025/2026 academic year.

For the donors, this is their own way of giving back to their community and ensuring children in the neighborhood return back to school prepared reducing financial burdens on their parents. On the part of the parents, it was a highly welcomes initiative which they heartily thanked the donors and just like Oliver Twist wished for more of such to be carried out.

The event ended with pupils and students joyfully dancing back home ready to begin the new academic year.
