The chief executive officer of the region has said the security situation is under control in spite the kidnapping of Idabato and the council staff.
Governor Bernard Okalia Bilai was speaking on November 26 in Tiko, while chairing the regional administrative and coordination meeting that brought together administrative, judicial and defense and security forces of the region.
During the conclave, security measures to ensure a smooth end-of-year festive season were taken. Meanwhile, sole technical Regional Delegates and Service heads presented reports which shows an improved socio-economic activities in the region and government presence.
Okalia Bilai frowned at poor execution of contracts and urged Regional contracts authorities to exercise maximum objectivity in the award of contracts procedures.
