Otte Ekema Ernest Junior, popularly known simply as BABA Wakiz, is a Cameroonian radio and television personality. He is well known for his amazing radio works as an OAP (On Air Personality) and popularly known as the King of the microphone/ His royal Micjesty.
He has a strong pen on paper, a great voice for radio, a fine face for television and a professional attitude for events and stages.
He has hosted numerous shows, concerts, weddings, corporate end of year parties, contests, Awards and pageants, including Day break Chariot, Dedicas, Sports carnival all on Chariot Radio and Business talk show on Dream FM, he also was host and pioneer sportscaster on PSTV and as well presented the program Holidays on HiTV, not leaving out international outdoor events like the Mount Cameroon Race of Hope and CAMIFF that showcase culture, historical places, music, art, fashion & design, celebrity personality and people from across the globe.
Presently, BABA is host of Cameroon’s most entertaining talk show “FRIDAY DRINKS”… Thanks to his humorous and unpredictable personality
BABA is a graduate from the University of Buea’s department of Journalism and Mass Communication and is presently enrolled in the same institution as a final year Masters student in Journalism.
He has honed his skill as a compere of events and is in very high demand today, due to this. He has achieved acclaims as one of finest presenters/MC and has risen to be an award winning Journalist, Radio/TV presenter and an event/stage Host.
In 2019, he was the best presenter at the Chariot awards and in 2020 he bagged home four different categories of the Chariot Awards; Best male radio host, best radio animator, Best programme producer and his famous morning show Day break Chariot earned him the Best overall program.
Still in 2020, he as well won the category “Best Radio Host” at the Golden Awards and the “Host of the year” at the ITT AWARDS and in 2021 he bagged home the “Best youngest radio animator” at the Golden Awards.
He has a whole field experience & a mastery of stage and handles the microphone with perfection and is Camera super friendly.
Mary Ndinge Lyonga is a marketing assistant at Eagle Wings and Spice Located at Mutengene, Tiko Road.
She was once a Volunteer at the Tiko Council Community Radio for a period of 3 months under the Leadership of Mme Sarah Nkongho as the Station Manager. She is a graduate from the department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Faculty of Social and Management Science, University of Buea.
