Mutengene Muslim Community welcomes new Imam.

Euphoria and enthusiasm filled the air as the Muslim Community in Mutengene witnessed the installation of Malam Bello Abobakar, as the new Imam of the Central Mosque.

The installation ritual was conducted Friday 24th November 2023 ,by the Chief Imam of The Buea Central Mosque , Mohammed Aboubakar.

Following the installation which was attended by the Muslim community, Amadou Abubakar will serve as 1st Assistant Imam while Mallam Mutari and Banseka Oumarou will occupy the 2nd and 3rd assistants respectively.

Other leaders Including the President of the Mosque Committee, Ismaila Isaika were also installed.

The Chief Imam of the Buea Central Mosque, appealed to the new leaders to bring Allah’s people together and work closely with the local Administration of Mutengene.

The Muslim leaders used the opportunity to pray for the return of Peace in the troubled Northwest and Southwest Regions of Cameroon.

It is hoped that the installation of these leaders will put an end to the power crisis that has rocked the Muslim community in Mutengene.

To the new leaders, it is a daunting but possible task. That is uniting the Muslim community which had been in shreds.

In all it was an atmosphere of fanfare that characterize the installation of the Muslim leaders in Mutengene, a locality in Tiko Subdivision, Fako Division in the South West Region of Cameroon.
