A non-profit organization known as One Tiko United made up of persons born in Tiko, based in the United States of America and Europe today Wednesday January 24th, 2024 handed over structures well equipped to the Tiko Town Sub Divisional Hospital (CMA) worth over 25 Million FCFA.
The ceremony that took place at the esplanade of the hospital was chaired by the Divisional Officer for Tiko, Mr. Voh Armstrong in the presence of the 1st Deputy Mayor of Tiko Council, Hon. Efite Andrew, the Representatives of the District Medical Officer for Tiko, Chief of Tiko town, the Chief Medical Officer of CMA Tiko Town Hospital Dr. Pallissa epouse Fonkam and the Coordinator of One Tiko United, Mr. Ekole Fonjongo.
Handing over the structures made up of the Maternity and Delivery ward, the Coordinator of One Tiko United, Mr. Ekole Fonjongo highlighted that the donation is part of their own way of giving back to their community as there are many projects in the pipeline to other health facilities in Tiko Health District.
The Divisional Officer for Tiko, Mr. Voh Armstrong on his part called on the community to make use of the Tiko Town CMA hospital as it is located at the heart of Tiko. He went further that the staff should do their best in the management of the facilities as health is wealth.
It should be noted that the donation of these structures to CMA Tiko Town and equipping it with modern hospital beds, is the first phase of projects carried out by One Tiko United.
