The road from Likomba bridge through Likomba market to the stretch of road towards Likomba Catholic Mission and Tchombes quarter will be paved in the days ahead.
This was after a visit today Tuesday March 12th, 2024 headed by Mayor HRH Peter Ikome Mesoso III accompanied by his 1st Deputy, Hon. Efite Andrew, 2nd Deputy, Madam Ngomba Elmina, 3rd Deputy Ikome Valery and 4th Deputy, Waindim Rudolf alongside the Secretary General, Mrs. Eri Tatason, Communal Development Officer, HRH Mbollo Ndedi Yves Patrice, Chiefs of Technical Service, Town Planning, Municipal Police and Communication at the site for demolition and effective work to begin by March 19th, 2024.
During the visit which coincided with the Likomba Market day, the Mayor and his team marked some makeshift structures and business structures that will be demolished for the exercise.
The mayor and his team also visited the site earmarked for the production of pavement blocks and installation of equipment at the Government Primary School in Likomba.
It should be noted that the pavement of the over 1.6 km road in Likomba was one of the project deliberated and adopted by Councilors of Tiko Council during the 2024 budgetary session that took place last December 2023 under the supervision of the then Senior Divisional Officer for Fako, Mr. Chaibou.
