Member of Parliament of the Upper House from the South West region, Senator Lionel Fonderson on Friday September 27th, 2024 awarded scholarships in cash to some six students who excelled well in their studies at Sure Foundation Comprehensive College Tiko.
This was in a ceremony that was attended by a cross section of over 900 students, parents and administrative staff of Sure Foundation Comprehensive College Tiko.
Senator Lionel Fonderson during the prize award and graduation ceremony that coincided with the 20th anniversary of Sure Foundation Comprehensive College Tiko announced the Scholarship scheme in May 2024.
The students from Form Two to Lower Sixth, received Fifty Thousands (50.000) FCFA each as part of their fees for the 2024/2025 Academic Year for their outstanding performance.
The Principal, Mr. Roland Akuma on behalf of School Management, thanked Senator Lionel Fonderson for the wonderful gesture and also for always being behind Sure Foundation Comprehensive College.
Senator Lionel Fonderson while handing the scholarship, called on the students of Sure Foundation Comprehensive College Tiko to make the institution proud especially in the end of year examinations and that others should double their efforts so that next year they should grab the scholarship scheme.
It should be noted that Sure Foundation Comprehensive College Tiko recorded the best Ordinary Level Grammar result in Tiko Sub-Division with a certain Atabong Nicole Scoring 11 papers (8 As and 3 Bs).
