Just from Garoua where the South West representative, Tiko Council grabbed the fourth prize as concern the 2023 Clean city contest, the Delegation headed by Mayor HRH Peter Ikome Mesoso III were received by South West Governor, Bernard Okalia Bilai.
The ceremony that took place on Tuesday October 10th, 2023 at the conference Hall of the South West Governor’s office witnessed the presence of the members of the Delegation that went to Garoua, the etat Majeur at the Governor’s office and the Regional Delegate Of Decentralization and Local Development South West, amongst others.
During the brief meeting the Shepherd of Tiko municipality, Mayor HRH Peter Ikome Mesoso III presented the members to the Governor and handed the trophies Tiko Council won during the clean city contest in Garoua.
Governor Bernard Okalia Bilai on his part thanked Tiko Council which is the gateway city into the region for taking the flag of South West high in Garoua and called on the management of Tiko Council to win more good things for the region. He went further that Tiko municipality is blessed as so many Government projects have been earmarked for the city such as the construction of an Airport in Tiko, the Deep Seaport, many companies been established along the Tiko Douala highway amongst others.
It should be noted that Tiko Council also won the most Dynamic Youths and lady in the South West region during the clean city contest.
