SWRL 2023: Ekene Livinus gives Tiko United FC 3pts against SW United FC in Tiko.

In what looked like the ‘Clash of the Titans’ in match day 3, it was a tense atmosphere at the Tiko Town Green Stadium today March 29th as Tiko United FC aka Samba Boys faced a formidable South West United FA side that is unbeaten after two games just like the Samba Boys.

With four (04) points each after two playing days, it was a battle to be placed high on the log of Pool B of the South West Regional League.

After playing for 45 minutes with no goal from both sides in the 1st half but with Tiko United FC having about 80% ball possession, the coaches of both teams went back to the drawing board.

Upon match resumption for the 2nd half, Tiko United FC had a 1-0 lead against South West United FA with an amazing free kick from Ekene Livinus, the captain of Tiko United FC that left the goal keeper of South West United FA astonished.

After few minutes of play, there was yet another goal by Ekene Livinus, giving Tiko United FC a 2-0 lead which stayed so till final whistle of the match thereby giving Tiko United FC 7 points with 4 goals in 3 matches placing them at the top of Pool B at the moment.

It should be noted that in their last game, Samba Boys edged Continental 1-0 in Tiko while South West United FA pulled a 1-1 tie in Buea against Cinyodev FA.

This is the first time in history both sides are meeting in the championship.
