Due to the recent happenings at the Tiko main market, Tiko Council and the Market Management Committee today Friday June 9th, 2023 held a crisis meeting to look into the rate of theft at the market.
The meeting that was chaired by the 4th Deputy Mayor, Waindim Rudolf representing the Mayor, had in attendance the Tiko Market Management Committee members and some staff of the Tiko Council including the Head of Local Solutions, Mr Sone Julius.
During the meeting which was aimed at bringing lasting solution to the issue of theft at the market, the two parties discussed on how to tackle the problem. The Tiko Market Management Committee donated some torches and machetes for the security at night to used it for patrol.
To Mayor Waindim who represented Mayor Mesoso III, it was a wonderful initiative by the Market Management Committee so that peace should reign in the market and the council will do everything possible so that those who are doing such devilish act be brought to book.
The meeting ended with tbe two parties happy and resolving that the issue of theft at the Tiko market now belongs to history.
