A building to host the girls and women safe space has been inaugurated in Mudeka village, Tiko sub-division.
The ceremony that took place on Sunday July 28th, 2024 in Mudeka was attended by officials of the International Organization for Migration, IOM, 4th Deputy Mayor Tiko Council, Waindim Rudolf, Representative of the Regional Delegate of Women’s Empowerment and the Family South West, traditional authorities and a cross section of the Mudeka population.
It should be noted that the girls and women safe space project was the initiative of Mayor HRH Peter Ikome Mesoso III from the Ministry of Economy Planning and Regional Development to developed the Mongo Area.
A ten man management committee has been created to managed the centre.
