Tiko Council Mayor receives an Award from PAID-WA Buea

The Mayor of Tiko Council, HRH Peter Ikome Mesoso III on Saturday October 7th, 2023 received an award on Decent and Sustainable Development of his municipality from the Pan African Institute of Development West Africa, PAID-WA, Buea.

The ceremony that took place at the Tiko Council Mayor’s cabinet, was headed by the Regional Director of PAID-WA Buea, Dr. Gladys Asaah who was accompanied by some management staff of her Institution.

While handing the award to Mayor HRH Mesoso III in the presence of Tiko Council Service and Bureau Heads and some Councillors, PAID-WA Buea Regional Director reiterated that the award is part of recognition for sustainability that is practised at Tiko Council at the time when the council is just coming from Garoua where they won the 4th place as concern the 2023 national clean city contest. She went further that PAID-WA Buea visiting Tiko Council is to say they are proud and happy with the council, and wish them well in their Development drive.

PAID-WA Regional Director, Dr. Gladys Asaah congratulated and thanked the leadership of Tiko Council under Mayor HRH Peter Ikome Mesoso III and his support system who are the staff. She made it very clear that PAID-WA Buea that was created in 1963 (60years today) will do it best to join Tiko Council in it’s development strides.

Tiko Council Mayor, HRH Peter Ikome Mesoso III on his part thanked his staff for their efforts in winning such an award from a reputable Institution PAID-WA, Buea.

It should be noted that it was the first time PAID-WA Buea under the management of Dr. Gladys Asaah is carrying out such an Award.
