Tiko Council has signed a convention with the Local Governance and Resilient Communities Project (PROLOG) for the implementation of three projects in the municipality.

The projects to be financed by the World Bank, was signed on Tuesday July 29th, 2025 at the conference hall of the Regional Delegation of Decentralization and Local Development South West in Buea.

Tiko council was represented by its Mayor, HRH Dr Peter Ikome Mesoso III alongside the chief of Administration, Madam Coretta Mesinze and Communal Development officer, HRH Mbollo Ndedi Yves.

The signing ceremony that witnessed the presence of the Regional Coordinator of PROLOG South West and Regional Delegate of Decentralization and Local Development South west, comes after Tiko Council and other Eight Councils in the region were selected to benefit from the Performance Based Grants by a Committee on May 22, 2025.

Projects to be financed thanks to the convention Tiko Council Mayor HRH Dr Peter Ikome Mesoso III signed with PROLOG includes; the Construction of Stone Drainage and a Major Rectangular Box Culvert at the road leading to Missaka Village, Construction of a Major Rectangular Box Culvert at Ombe Native, and Supply of Basic Medical equipment to the newly constructed Ombe Native Integrated Health Centre.
These projects will go a long way to improve on the Health care and Roads network in the municipality.
