Some soldiers of the Special Amphibious Battalion in Tiko who were promoted to different ranks by a Presidential decree and Ministerial decision received their epaulets today January 1st 2024.
The over 30 officers of various categories were awarded epaulets in recognition of their services to the nation.
It should be noted that the Tiko-based Special Amphibious Battalion is the first military battalion created in 1999 to defend Cameroon’s territorial integrity on land, sea and air.
The Amphibious soldiers carry out spontaneous patrols on the sea to guarantee the security of populations resident around the Tiko shores.
Mary Ndinge Lyonga is a marketing assistant at Eagle Wings and Spice Located at Mutengene, Tiko Road.
She was once a Volunteer at the Tiko Council Community Radio for a period of 3 months under the Leadership of Mme Sarah Nkongho as the Station Manager. She is a graduate from the department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Faculty of Social and Management Science, University of Buea.
