The administration of Tiko council headed by the Mayor HRH Chief Peter Ikome Mesoso III today Friday January 13th, 2023 in partnership with the Ministry of Environment and the Protection of Nature with an NGO, Master Planners Foundation launched a war against plastic pollution otherwise known as “Operation Save the Earth” throughout the municipality of the gateway city to fight against non-biodegradable.
The exercise that saw workers of Tiko Council, some volunteers from the Municipal Youth Council of Tiko and officials of Master Planners Foundation cleaning some neighborhoods of the municipality was launched by the Mayor HRH Chief Peter Ikome Mesoso III in the presence of the CEO of Master Planners Foundation, Ngalle Matute Simon.
According to Master Planners Foundation, partner to the campaign to safe the environment from hazards, the plastic bottles will be transformed into pavement blocks which will be used to beautify the municipality.
The Mayor on his part thanked workers of Tiko Council for coming out in their numbers for the exercise that will go a long way to keep the municipality safe from plastic pollution.
