Mutengene Market goes daily after facelift

As Cameroon moves toward emergence 2035, the Tiko Council is leaving no stone unturned and has joined the moving train as the council has embarked on ambitious programmes for economic growth in order to give the gateway city a facelift.

It is in this regard that, and in order to boost the economy of the city, the Mutengene market will in the months ahead operate daily as plans have been concluded to transform the existing market into a modern one with construction works ongoing for the market to get a facelift.

Tiko Council under the stewardship of Mayor HRH Peter Ikome Mesoso III on Tuesday March 26th, 2024 accompanied by his Deputies, close collaborators among them the chief of Town Planning, Municipal Police and Communication team were at the site to evaluate ongoing works at the Mutengene market.

The Mayor and his team expressed satisfaction as to what has been done so far at the market with traders who did not hide their feelings to applaud the Tiko Council under Mayor Mesoso III for the development strides he has been doing in the municipality as a whole and Mutengene in particular.

It should be noted that the fruits, “Okrika”, tomatoes and fish sections of the market are the main areas to be given a facelift. The ongoing works will take few months to be done.
