Road users, Transport Syndicates and Students are advise to be patient ~ Tiko Council Mayor

The Mayor of the gateway city of Tiko HRH Dr Peter Ikome Mesoso III has called on the population of hospital layout, transport syndicates and business persons plying the hospital bridge to be patient as the days ahead will be bright.

He made the statement on Thursday March 6th, 2025 during a visit to the wooden bridge that link hospital layout from Bocom Tiko Douala road to CDC Senior Service Quarter and Tiko Town.

The Mayor while addressing the population of that area, was accompanied by the Divisional officer for Tiko , Mr Armstrong Voh Kawa alongside his Etat Majeure, the Third and Fourth Deputy Mayors of the Tiko Council (Valery Ndesa and Rudolf Waindim), Some Councilors, the Secretary General at the Tiko Council,Mrs Eri Ita Tatason, Tiko Council Communal Development officer, HRH Mbollo Ndedi Yves, the Director of the Tiko District hospital, Dr Ayafor, the Quarter head of Movange, members of motor Bike Syndicate, Taxi Driver Syndicate amongst others.

The wooden German bridge over the Ndongo River linking the Tiko District hospital and it’s environs with CDC Senior Service Quarter and Tiko Town has been an eye sore to the point that many accidents and deaths have been recorded with the present Divisional officer , Mr Armstrong Voh putting an injection order for users not to ply the bridge.

The Mayor of Tiko Council made it clear to the population with students inclusive that Tiko Council is bent on constructing a modern bridge which will ease the movement of Goods and persons from that area to Tiko town and other neighborhoods.

The denizens of the area from bike riders to students and business persons begged on the mayor to give them a modern bridge which he promised them that they should keep praying for him to realize this wonderful project in his mandate.

It should be noted that the population of Ebonji, Misellele villages, small Ekange, Big Ekange CDC camps and the Hospital layout has not be finding it easy especially their children to go to school to Tiko town when passing through the wooden bridge.
