The second edition of the Tchombes Kids Football for Excellence has officially come to an end, with the competition combining sports, education and community support.
Organized by Journalist Moki Reagan, the tournament was played under the Distinguished Patronage of Hon. Findi Stanley Mokondo, MP for Fako East Constituency, bringing together children and youths in a spirit of sportsmanship, unity and excellence.
The closing ceremony was marked by a special back-to-school donation, with educational materials distributed to all the children who participated in the competition.
The initiative also extended beyond the football pitch, as bags of rice, vegetable oil, blankets, buckets, bags of salt, mattresses, soap and other essential items were donated to widows, women’s groups, youth groups and other members of the Tchombes Quarter community.
For organizer Moki Reagan, the initiative was not only about football, but also about using sports as a platform to promote education, community solidarity and support for vulnerable members of society.
The second edition therefore ended on a strong note, with calls for continued community participation and greater support for future editions of the Tchombes Kids Football for Excellence.
