Tiko Council revenue to increase as team gain knowledge on deep seaport management.

As part of their stay in Pelotas city in Brazil upon invitation by the Sentinela livestock company, Tiko Council represented by the Mayor, HRH Peter Ikome Mesoso III, Secretary General, Mrs Eri Tatason and Councilor Nyams Calvin on Monday May 8th, 2023 in day two of their symposium, officially visited the Director of Rio Deep Seaport which is the biggest as concern the exportation of beef and biggest seaport in the state of Algora in Brazil to gain knowledge on the management of deep seaport which will go a long way to increased revenue collection in the council.

The Director of Rio Deep seaport who received all the mayors present, gave a protocol document to them especially councils which have seaport. It was an opportunity for Tiko Council’s Mayor and his team with the deep seaport on the pipeline in their municipality to have a one on one chat with officials of the Rio Deep seaport who gave them a template manual for Tiko council to choose where to fit in.

It should be noted that during the exchange, Tiko Council realized that they can go in the management transportation of cattle that move to Equatorial Guinea and other countries that will bring revenue to the council.

On the other hand, officials of the Rio Deep seaport will train the management of Tiko Council on how to go with the management of the deep seaport by visiting the council for a Memorandum of Understanding to be signed whereby they will assist Tiko Council on revenue sources and on how they can maximize revenue from the deep seaport which will be realized soon.
