Tiko Council to beautify streets in Mutengene as its priority project in 2023.

Tiko Council, the gateway municipality headed by the Lord Mayor HRH Chief Peter Ikome Mesoso III and his team today Tuesday January 17th, 2023 in order to give the town of Mutengene a new facelift started with the demolition of makeshift structures along the Plakini stretch of road.

The exercise that was spearheaded by the Chief Shepherd of Tiko municipality, HRH Chief Peter Ikome Mesoso III, accompanied by the Chief of Works, Abah Bruno, Head of Town Planning Service, Esunge John and the Municipal Police Corps, saw the Tiko Council head loader demolishing structures that where very closed to the road.

According to HRH Chief Peter Ikome Mesoso III, the demolition of the plakini stretch of road in Mutengene will go through the CBC hospital (Mbingo) in order to pave the way for the contractor in charge of taring the road to carryout the project successfully.

The inhabitants of the area on their part before the arrival of the mayor and his team were spotted demolishing their structures which to the mayor was a sign of maturity on the part of the population.

It should be noted that movement from the CBC hospital through plakini street down to tomatoe market entrance in Mutengene has been very easy since the council started with the demolition and construction of the stretch of road.
