Tiko Council through its first Deputy Mayor, Honourable Efite Andrew has promised members of the Community Base Association for Disability Empowerment (Cobade), that the Council will support and supervised them in their activities.
Hon Efite Andrew accompanied by the head of local Solutions Mr Julius Sone, Chief of Bureau Finance Mr Fokum Patrick, and Communication officer, Ngong Ivo Mua made the statement on Thursday April 10, 2025 during a visit to a one hectar Land handed to the persons living with disabilities in Tiko municipality by the Cameroon Development Corporation, CDC for Maize farming.
The land situated at camp seven, Tiko Douala road was handed to person’s living with disabilities in Tiko municipality for farming under cobade an inclusive group that Carter for the empowerment of all with goal as “Opportunities without Discrimination”
Addressing the members of cabade on site, Honourable Efite Andrew, Tiko Council first Deputy Mayor congratulated them for such initiative and that Tiko Council will make them succeed in what they are doing especially through follow up and harvest and that the council is open and will always be behind them as Agriculture is an integral part of our Economy.
The president of cobade, Mr John Abang on his part thanked CDC for providing them with the land for farming and praised Tiko Council for always being behind them which is part of Decentralization.
It should be noted that cobade, an Inclusive group was created in 2022 led by Persons living with Disabilities based in Tiko municipality.
