Workers of the Tiko Council (Gateway City) yesterday Friday January 27th, 2023 at the council banquet hall celebrated their end of year and new year.
The celebration which was so significant for the staff to relax and communion together, was spearheaded by the Secretary General of the council Mrs. Eri Tatason who during the gathering thanked God for a successful year 2022 and praised the mayor for his fatherly love towards the workers.
The guest of the day was the Chief Shepherd of the Municipality, Lion of Tiko, Mayor HRH Peter Ikome Mesoso III and wife who received New Year wishes from the staff.
The mayor and wife were dressed in the Bakweri attire by the workers who thank the mayor for his fatherly love and spirit towards them.
Mayor Mesoso III who is also an Evangelist in his remarks, thanked the workers for the surprise, told them he has forgiven those who hurt him in 2022 and they should work as a family so that Tiko Council should be the talk everywhere as concern councils nationwide. The Mayor, evangelist prayed for the workers calling on God to grant them their wishes and favour throughout the year 2023.
It should be noted that despite the socio political crisis rocking the two English regions, Tiko Council is striving as the year 2022 ended without any salary arears.
The end of year celebration also witnessed the presence of some Economic stakeholder of the Municipality and friends to the council.
