Cameroon’s football family is saddened by the death of legendary coach, Gerard Mbimi who passed away yesterday Saturday February 18th after a protracted illness.
Mr. Mbimi was one of the most iconic coaches of Tiko United FC aka Samba Boys.
He left a lasting imprints on Cameroonian football, enjoying a glittering coaching career which lasted more than two decades.
He has also coached ‘Mount Cameroon FC of Buea’, ‘Victoria United FC of Limbe’, ‘New Star of Douala’, ‘Union Sportive of Douala’, ‘Aigle of Ngongsamba’, ‘Bamboutous of Mbouda’ amongst others.
May his soul rest in peace.

She was once a Volunteer at the Tiko Council Community Radio for a period of 3 months under the Leadership of Mme Sarah Nkongho as the Station Manager. She is a graduate from the department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Faculty of Social and Management Science, University of Buea.
